After all their hard work and commitment our students have now graduated and will be taking their next big step into further study or a professional career.

Around 25 of our students attended ceremonies this year. It was great to have our first in-person SMI graduation celebration events since the pandemic - welcoming newly graduated students with their family and friends back to the Sheffield Methods Institute.

We also we welcomed back students who successfully completed their studies last year but attended their formal in-person ceremony this summer, including Rosie, SMI alumna and Data Intelligence Analyst for SYP, who reflected on her time in the SMI:

The SMI team were undoubtedly a huge part of my positive university experience.

The tight knit department meant I was always able to seek support when needed, and the smaller class sizes meant that lectures and seminars were bespoke to our learning requirements.

The highlight of the course was completing my dissertation - the process taught me about organisation, project management, and research, all skills that I will carry into the future.
