Pre-registration tasks

Once you've accepted your offer, you must complete your online pre-registration tasks before arriving in Sheffield.

Pre-Departure Tuberculosis Screening

If you’re an international student you may be required to provide evidence of a Tuberculosis (TB) test as part of your visa application.

Student mentors

Our Student Mentors are trained volunteer second or third year undergraduate students who can offer support and ease your transition into University life.

You can apply for a Student Mentor during your online pre-registration or any time during your first semester.

 New students registration

Visit our registration web page for a full outline of how to register with the University.

Online module selection

If you have any modules to choose, you must do so as part of Pre-Registration. See the below link for more details:

Student UCard and Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) collection event

After you have registered online, you will be invited to collect your UCard. You must attend the event at the specific time given to you. If you are an international student who has chosen the University as the ACL, you will also be able to collect your BRP at this event.

Late registration

If you know you're going to arrive late, please visit the page below for information on late registration.

University Health Service registration

We recommend that all students studying in Sheffield for more than 3 months register with the University Health Service (UHS) on arrival. UHS provides a NHS General Practice service.
