About TechNet

TechNet started out at the University of Sheffield, but is open to technicians from other Higher Education Institutions. We now have technicians from several other universities involved.

TechNet Aims:

  • To raise the profile of the technical community by increasing the visibility of the technician

  • Connect individuals who share common interests and perform similar activities

  • To create awareness, learn about new technologies and share good practise

How to get Involved:

You can get involved in TechNet in any of the following ways, or if you would like more information, have any ideas or suggestions, you can email technet@sheffield.ac.uk.

Come to our TechNet EventsTechnicians networking at TechNet event

Quarterly events at Sheffield based on ideas submitted by technicians. Usually lunchtime events with drinks and cake provided.

Previous events have included: 'Are you getting the best out of your SRDS?' 'Procurement- who are we?' 'Close encounters with a technical mind' and many more.
