Dr Gareth Perry wins Sheffield Professional Award

Gareth Perry and the Sheffield Professional Award

Dr Gareth Perry, the Archaeology Department technician supervisor, has been awarded the Faculty of Arts and Humanities Professional Staff Member of the Year Award in the Sheffield Professional Awards 2015.

The Sheffield Professional Awards celebrate the exceptional contribution Sheffield Professionals make to the University.  Gareth, who completed his Archaeology PhD at Sheffield and went on to become a member of staff in the Archaeology Department, was nominated in the Professional Staff Member of the Year category.  This is a holistic award taking into account all areas of Gareth's role and responsibilities and how his approach to work demonstrates his commitment to all the Sheffield Professional values and behaviours.

Six winners from across the University were chosen for the Professional Staff Member of the Year award, one from each of the five faculties and one from Professional Services.  Gareth attended the awards ceremony, held on 26th March in the Octagon, to accept his award along with other individual and team nominees from across the University.
