My role is to provide continuity, expertise and a strategic overview in one area of the MBChB programme; Assessments. I work closely with each of the Phase Administrators and have responsibility for servicing the key committees through which the assessment processes are managed: Curriculum Assessment Group (CAG), scheduling and recruiting for Internal quality assurance, standard setting and SAQ marking group sessions for all end of Phase assessments. As well as assisting Phase Teams to ensure the operationalisation of assessments throughout the course, including setting up examination circuits, processing exam scripts, invigilating assessments. I also maintain the OSCE Examiner database, and ensure that training and refresher training needs are identified, organised and recorded to fulfil requirements.
