The Idea Development Category signifies that the business has moved beyond just an idea—it’s building something real. It’s specifically for those who are actively creating a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).

PortalZero is a DC Induction Hob

• Reduced system cost.

• Enhanced safety features.

• Direct replacement capability.

• Increased durability.

• Solar compatibility.

• Increased efficiency.

Are plans for the next 6 months include:

 • Complete our funding round.

• Finalise second-gen MVP prototype.

• Pilot testing with early users.

• Begin certification and compliance testing.

• Manufacturing and supply chain locked in.

We’re thrilled to have been selected as a winner! For us at PORTALZERO, this award couldn’t have come at a better time—it helps bridge a critical gap as we prepare for our upcoming funding round. On a personal note, as a Sheffield graduate, it’s incredibly special to be recognized by a community that’s shaped my journey. This award will support the development of our second-generation MVP, helping us move closer to certification, generate more consumer traction, and bring us closer to our mission: removing gas from campervans, caravans, motorhomes, and small boats. Thank you, Emerge, for the support.
