University Quiz Night Thursday 11 May 2023
The University Quiz Night is back after four years!
Test your knowledge, have some fun with friends and colleagues, win fantastic prizes and support a great cause at the same time.
Teams of staff, students, alumni and friends are invited to take part.
Registration and food are from 5.30pm and the quiz will begin at 6.30pm.
Team sizes need to be between 4 and 6 people. Tickets are £8.50 per person and this includes a meal of chilli con carne or vegetable and mixed bean chilli. Both served with rice, sour cream and crushed nachos (all other special dietary requirements will be catered for).
There are cash prizes for the top 3 teams:
- 1st place - £120.00
- 2nd place - £60.00
- 3rd place - £30.00
There will also be a raffle on the night with some great prizes for those with the winning tickets.

All proceeds from the evening will go towards MND research.
Motor neurone disease (MND) affects around 5,000 people in the UK every year. It kills six people in the UK every day, with a third of those diagnosed losing their lives within just a year. Tragically, people die from this devastating disease because there are currently no treatments that can stop it.
But there's hope. University of Sheffield MND researchers are working tirelessly to find a cure for this debilitating disease. They're working on therapies to help advance research to ultimately deliver treatments to patients living with this condition.
