Applied Geographical Information Systems

Learn about advanced spatial analysis, geovisualisation, policy applications of GIS in practice, thematic mapping and cartogram creation in our MSc Applied GIS.

International Development

Our masters courses in international development offer students the chance to explore development issues from a variety of angles. All three courses engage with the key theories and debates in international development, and feature interdisciplinary modules where students develop practical skills for real-world situations.


We have two planning courses accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI). These programmes tackle some of the biggest global planning, urban design, and regional and urban development issues of our time.

Polar and Alpine Change

Our masters by research in polar and alpine change is a unique and highly specialised course, with many graduates going on to pursue PhDs in cold-regions science.

Real Estate

Our real estate courses are professionally accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). They’ll equip you for a career in chartered surveying, with a focus on real estate valuation, investment and development.

International scholarships
