On

Welcome Week

Your induction week (also known as Welcome Week) is Monday 23 to Friday 27 September 2024.

To welcome you, there are various events to meet staff and students, and receive important information regarding your experience while at the University.

Please attend all Welcome Week activities if possible, however if you are unable to attend, recordings and materials will be available online (just view these materials in time for week one).

Access your Welcome Week Timetable

If you have any problems accessing your welcome week timetable please contact geography@sheffield.ac.uk

Many of these events appear in your iSheffield app (Student login required). Download the iSheffield app and register. Once registered, you can find event information and a personalised course timetable.

Your Welcome Week finishes on Friday 27 September with a Welcome Walk, from Endcliffe Park to the Fox House Inn in the Peak District.

Optional module choice

As part of your registration with the university, you can choose your optional modules before Welcome Week.

However, if you are undecided with your choices, don’t worry - you will learn more about the course and meet module leaders to discuss your options during Welcome Week.

Contact us

The Learning and Teaching Support office is your first point of contact during your time as a geography student.

If you have a question or need help, the friendly and experienced team will be able to help, or direct you to the right place.

The office is open 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday and is located on floor C of the Geography Building
