- Profile
-
Sutapa has received her PhD in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in 2024. Her PhD was focussed on micro-climate analysis of complex and densely built cities in India using high-resolution climate modelling and geospatial techniques. She has an M.Tech(Res) in Remote Sensing and GIS from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing – ISRO, specialized in hydro-meteorology of urban environment. Prior to that she obtained her M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Physical Geography. Sutapa is now working as a Research Associate to understand the nature of extreme meteorological events in the Andes, as a part of the NERC-funded ‘Deplete and Retreat’ project.
