Peter Jackson elected to Academia Europaea

On 23 October, Peter Jackson attended a ceremony at the Ateneu Barcelones to celebrate his election to the Academia Europaea. The ceremony was part of a conference on Building Bridges which also included a series of lectures at the Institute for Catalan Studies.

The object of the Academia Europaea is to advance excellence in scholarship across the humanities and law, the economic, social and political sciences, mathematics and medicine, and all branches of the natural and technological sciences for the public benefit. It aims to promote European research, advise governments and further interdisciplinary research. Peter was one of 40 new members elected in 2019.
