Global Leadership Initiative welcomes student applications to participate in the World Urban Forum 9 (WUF9)
WUF9 builds on the resolution of Habitat III when 167 countries agreed the New Urban Agenda (NUA). As an opportunity to explore key developments in the NUA since its agreement, the Global Leadership Initiative (GLI) will bring a small group of students to WUF9 in Kuala Lumpur from February 5 to 11, 2018.
Participation in WUF9 is an exciting opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate taught students to experience global spaces of decision-making where the collective effort to address sustainable urban development is negotiated.
We are now welcoming student applications from all departments across the Faculty of Social Sciences to attend the Forum. Selected students will take an active part in meetings, writing policy briefs and blogs, carrying out interviews, pertaining to discussions at the Forum.
Applicants must have a demonstrable interest in issues related to the World Urban Forum 9.
For more information, including eligibility and details of how to apply, please see WUF9.
The application deadline is December 8, 2017, by 2 pm, GMT.
