Stairway with lots of people

On 14th October, iHuman research fellow Stevienna de Saille delivered the opening keynote address for the 5th annual German Summer School of Higher Education Research and Science Studies (HERSS) at the Technical University of Munich, organised by HERSS and the Munich Centre for Technology in Society (MCTS). Her talk, Innovation for Responsible Stagnation: Thinking from the Fourth Quadrant, explored alternatives to current innovation discourses, and the possibilities which arise when taking an a-growth approach, shaping R&I activities towards looking for new ways to reduce resources consumed while maintaining societal benefit, regardless of contribution to GDP.
