International Journalism Week, 22-29 November 2012

Exploring journalism, communication and media education around the globe. Discovering new worldwide research into journalism. Joining together students and researchers from across international borders. International Journalism Week is a unique event organised and hosted by the Department of Journalism Studies at the University of Sheffield.

The week will bring together international scholars who will give lectures, seminars and workshops for undergraduate and taught postgraduate students. The events will also include research seminars for postgraduate research students and staff. It's a superb opportunity to investigate the latest developments and research in journalism and the media on every continent.

Where and when

International Journalism Week will take place from Monday 12 to Friday 16 November 2012 at six venues across the University of Sheffield.

There's no charge and no need to register or book a place. Just explore the sessions on offer, see what interests you, and come along on the day.

Who is it for?

The event is for anyone with a professional interest in journalism: academics, journalists, communications undergraduate and postgraduate students.

International Journalism Week is not just a University of Sheffield event: it's open to the wider community. Everyone's welcome.
