Grüne Geschichten - Green Stories
The task was to write a passionate story with a personal view on climate, environment and the world around us. The competition was open to students of all levels. The only rule was that it had to be no longer than 555 words.
The fascinatingly disturbing and deeply psychological story “Fleischfresser” by R. Bailey Hodges (winner language level C) deals with feminism, drugs and war, whereas S. Thorne’s story (winner language level B) tells the beautiful story of a dying tree and the hope it can sow. Indeed, plenty of powerful words to rethink and act, quiet remarks to reflect and observe, rebellious shout-outs to wake-up!
Jutta Vogt from the MLTC was delighted with the outcome: “We received wonderful stories that made us smile and cry, that left us helpless and hopeful, and we would love to thank all participants for sharing their creative texts with us!”
