About the cluster

The Gender Research cluster is a team of researchers who are dedicated to exploring how gender and gender issues shape, and are shaped by, a variety of identities, texts, and social formations – from contemporary fiction and screen cultures to migration, labour market, and radical activism. Spanning fields and disciplines as varied as History, Anthropology, Sociology, Queer studies, and Cultural studies, our aim is to expand our understanding of East Asian societies by positioning gender at the centre of our research.
