The Engineering Graduate School aims to provide a central point of support to all postgraduate research (PGR) students and staff within the Faculty of Engineering in the areas of recruitment, progression and training.

Bill said: “I am delighted to become Head of the Engineering Graduate School. I am looking forward to carrying on the good work and would like to develop activities in support of Departments as they face current and future challenges. I am hoping that my experience in PGR matters will help me to help them.”

Bill is Professor of Energy Engineering and Sustainability in the Energy Engineering Group (Energy 2050) of the Mechanical Engineering Department. He was the department’s PGR Director (Progression) for the last 3 years through a period of much change and reform and benefitted, first hand, from support provided by the Engineering Graduate School.
