Dr Will Parker from the Department of Infection, Immunity & Cardiovascular Disease

The journal focuses on rapid peer review and innovative and novel research, whilst encouraging submissions from as diverse a community as possible. As of 1 January 2023, Dr Will Parker will join the Editorial Board in his new role.

The journal will continue its focus on publishing leading global research from all areas of platelet research and will continue the special review series, the gene of the issue and methods articles. It will expand its scope and ambition to ensure leading researchers from around the globe direct high-quality articles with broad reach and strong impact. This is a fantastic achievement for someone so early in their clinical academic career and is a testament to his academic achievements.

Will is a polymath and is also increasingly recognised as a historian of medicine, giving an invited talk at the recent Centenary of the British Cardiovascular Society Annual Scientific Meeting.
