I chose to study chemistry at the University of Sheffield because of its modern laboratories and state-of-the-art experimental facilities, as well as the distinguished group of scientists who serve as our faculty to guide us in our areas of interest.

I was interested in all biochemistry related courses and the study of biochemistry was like a transition from the self to the superego. During this year-long program, I not only learned about various chemistry-related topics, but more importantly, I learned how to start a research project scientifically.

One year of graduate school is quickly coming to an end and I plan to apply for a PhD to do more work related to chemistry research. As an international student, I hope to interact with students from different countries and cultures, and see the world from a different perspective.

谢菲尔德大学有着悠久的教学历史，悠久的历史为它的教学质量提供了保障，而开放的校园环境是多元文化交流的基石。我选择在谢菲尔德大学化学系学习是因为它不但拥有现代化的实验室和先进的实验设备，还拥有一批杰出的科学家作为我们的教师引导我们在感兴趣的领域探索。我对所有与生物化学有关的课程都感兴趣，针对生物化学的研究就像是从本我向超我的过渡。在这为期一年的学习过程中，我不但学习了各种与化学有关的知识，更重要的是学会了如何科学的开始一项研究工作。一年的研究生生活很快结束，我计划申请PhD，想做更多与化学研究有关的工作。作为国际生我希望可以与多与不国家与文化背景下的同学交流，用不同的角度看世界，我相信世界会因此在我眼中变得更加有趣。
