We are very pleased that the Pennine Water Group will be hosting "Advances in Numerical Modelling of Hydrodynamics Workshop" at the University of Sheffield.
The University has a long traditiion of world-class research in the area of water engineering. It is one of the UK's leading teaching institutions, with over 24,000 students following degree courses in a wide rane of science, medical engineering, arts and social sciences subjects. The University receives consistently high ratings from university guides and was named UK University of the Year in the 2011 Times Higher Education Awards. Our global reputation for teaching and research attracts students from over 120 counties.
We invite you to join us at this workshop and to contribute to its success with your expertise, friendship, thoughts, comments, discussion, and excellent science. A detailed programme will be available soon; however, we plan to organise sessions in the following topics:
- Theoretical development of numerical methods for modelling hydrodynamics.
- Applied modelling issues from a problem-orientated perspective.
- Scientific computing technologies for modelling hydrodynamics.
- Any disciplinary combination that is not yet standard in the field.
The workshop is sponsored by the UK Engineering and Physical Research Council as part of a dissemination activity of the project "Unified flood model with optimal zooming and linking at multiple scales".
After the workshop, a selection of papers will be invited to resubmit to Applied Mathematical Modelling (AMM) journal (http://www.journals.elsevier.com/applied-mathematical-modelling/) for possible publication in the special issue arising from the workshop. Guest Editors will work together with the Editor in Chief to ensure that best quality papers are retained for publication in the workshop’s special issue.
Registration will be opening soon. The deadline for registration is Monday 15th December 2014.
We are looking forward to meeting you in Sheffield. For general enquiries please email firstname.lastname@example.org
