Stephen Stich, Honorary Professor of Philosophy at Sheffield and Professor of Philosophy at Rutgers University has been awarded the Dr. Martin R. Lebowitz and Eve Lewellis Lebowitz Prize for Philosophical Achievement and Contribution, with Ernest Sosa.
The prizes are awarded by the American Philosophical Association and the Phi Beta Kappa Society to a pair of speakers who hold contrasting (not necessarily opposing) views on a topic of current interest and importance in philosophy. They present their views at a Symposium and public lecture. At this year’s Symposium, Stich and Sosa focussed on intuition in philosophical methodology.
