Profile

I joined CTRU as a Research Assistant in March 2022 and I am currently working on two trials: MissionEB (mesenchymal stromal cell therapy for children with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa), and MAGIC (Melatonin for Anxiety prior to General anaesthesia In Children).

Prior to coming to ScHARR I worked in frontline health in the NHS, treating patients with a variety of pathologies in the brain using Gamma Knife Radiosurgery. I originally trained in Zoology and completed a PhD in the field of Evolutionary Biology. I worked as a research scientist examining co-evolution and host-parasite interactions in insects prior to a career transition to working in human health.
