Year Abroad Administrator

As a Year Abroad Administrator, you will be a key team player in the energetic School of East Asian Studies’ Learning and Teaching Team, at the forefront of delivering high quality student focused administrative support throughout the student lifecycle. A key aspect of this will be acting as the first point of contact for the administration and organisation of the Year Abroad Programme in the School.

Teaching Associate in East Asian Studies x 2

In response to the growing worldwide interest, we are making two strategic teaching appointments in East Asian Studies to enhance and expand our excellent postgraduate teaching.

We particularly welcome scholars who:

  • Can teach in East Asian Language/s in addition to English, and in any discipline within the broadly defined field of East Asian Studies
  • Have cross-country/region-wide academic interests and personal experience.

We particularly welcome someone who can represent the School in the wider University and can promote and represent the University and the discipline nationally and internationally

Teaching Associate in Japanese Language

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Europe’s leading centres of academic excellence for the study of contemporary East Asia. You will work closely and collaboratively with current members of staff to ensure the continuity of delivery of first class teaching. You will plan, prepare and deliver instruction in Japanese Language across all levels of Undergraduate modules.

We particularly welcome scholars who:

  • are fluent speakers of English and Japanese # possess appropriate teaching qualifications or equivalent experience
  • have leadership qualities to contribute to the direction of the School and bring challenge to the team.

We will particularly encourage applicants who can represent the School in the wider University and can promote and represent the University and the discipline nationally and internationally.
