Languages and Cultures for Postgraduates

At the University of Sheffield we believe that languages aren't just different ways of saying things. They're the expression of different cultures, different ways of seeing the world. Thus we believe in studying culture alongside language and in building global understanding as well as knowledge.

Enhance your career prospects with one of our prestigious courses in languages, culture and translation and intercultural communication studies. The modern jobs market is a challenge and your newly acquired cultural insight and practical language skills will make you an attractive proposition to employers in the global marketplace.

Or perhaps you would like to do your own innovative research and make an impact in the world? Where better to do so than at the University of Sheffield's School of Languages and Cultures, working together with staff who are internationally known for some of the best research and teaching in their fields.
