I joined ScHARR in July 2013 and work in HEDS undertaking systematic reviews of clinical effectiveness of healthcare interventions. I have a background in systematic review and meta-analysis and have undertaken reviews in the areas of: exercise for osteoporosis, quality of life outcomes in cancer trials, treatments for infectious childhood diseases, beta thalassemia, cancer, and epilepsy.

I also have experience of producing Cochrane Reviews of treatments for chronic wounds and interventions for drug using offenders.

Research interests

My research interests include:
• Systematic reviews of clinical effectiveness for healthcare interventions
• Development of methods for systematic reviewing and evidence synthesis including meta-analysis, meta-regression, individual patient data analysis and mixed-treatment comparisons/network meta-analysis
• Critical appraisal and risk of bias assessment methods for systematic reviews
• Development of methods for rapid reviews
