Lucie Waring is in her second year of her BA in Digital Media and Society. She is also the secretary for the Digital Media Society (DigiSoc), a new student society formed in 2024.

Freya Vanevery Sociology with Foundation Year BA

Returning to the UK from Canada, Freya decided to begin a Sociology degree after a few years of working in hospitality. After completing a university funded internship over the summer, she has been working part time at a South Yorkshire social enterprise.

Lloyd Wright joined the University of Sheffield as a mature student. After previously working as a chef in Australia, he came back to the UK to study Politics and Modern Languages with a Foundation Year. Since graduating, he has been accepted onto a masters course in Creative Writing which will begin in 2024.

Chloe studied a BA in Sociology at the University of Sheffield from 2016 to 2019 and played an active role in the Sociological Society. Since graduating, she has gone on to find a career in Social Value which supports both the public and private sector to work together to deliver meaningful benefits for the community.

Dougal MacKenzie

Being open-minded in all facets of life can only help you

Dougal studied a BA in Sociology at the University of Sheffield, graduating in 2016. Since, he has gone on to build a career in postgraduate education and now works as the Head of Client Services at FindAUniversity.
