Technician Commitment Working Group

The Technician Commitment working group was established to support, initiate and progress work at the University in support of the Technician Commitment Initiative.

Following the pledges of the Technician Commitment, the group meets every two months and aims to:

  • Increase the visibility of Technicians at the University and beyond

  • Further the recognition of Technicians through promoting professional registration

  • Consider aspects related to career development opportunities of technicians

  • Ensure sustainability of the University's activities through retaining and promoting technical skills and expertise

  • Evaluate the impact and outcome of the activities pursued by working group and the University in connection to the Technician Commitment

  • Share best practice with other institutions and take a lead in setting best practice against the Technician Commitment
