The Department is now ranked 11th in the UK - a significant improvement on its ranking of 16th in last year’s league table.
The Guardian University Guide has established itself as a key league table for UK universities and features league tables ranking universities on a number of criteria; including student satisfaction scores based on courses, teaching and feedback, as well as the proportion of graduates in employment or further study after graduation.

The Guardian rankings follow a successful year for the Department where students voted its computer science subject as number one for overall satisfaction among Russell Group universities, according to the latest National Student Survey (NSS).
Subjects across the Department were ranked among the best in the country in July’s NSS results, with artificial intelligence in the top five and software engineering in the top ten.
