Discovery Night

Discovery Night is back on Friday 13 March 2020, 4pm-8pm. Visit the University’s laboratories and lecture theatres for an evening of hands-on science for the whole family. There’ll be talks, exciting science demonstrations and interactive activities for visitors of all ages.

Find out about everything from your blood cells to artificial intelligence, the magic of maths and the chemistry of bubbles. There will be plenty of opportunities to put on a lab coat and have a go yourself.

Everyone is welcome and the event is free. No booking required.  Recommended age 5+.

You’ll find some highlights listed below, all the hands-on activities run throughout the evening so drop in anytime. The interactive talks last for 30 minutes and have set start times which are indicated below.
