New University IT Accounts - Multi-factor authentication (MFA) Guidance
MFA is an extra check to make sure it’s really you logging in. It’s just like when you log in to online banking.
We use a system called Duo. After you enter your password, you get a prompt from Duo to your mobile device, or a code to enter from a hardware token.
The first time you try to log in to your University IT account, you’ll be prompted to set up MFA.
MFA is mandatory on all University IT accounts.
