On

 Welcome Week

Your Welcome Week will be from Monday 23rd - Friday 27th September.

You can download your Welcome Week timetable below, and it is also available along with further information in the Blackboard Hub, which you will be able access via MUSE once you have completed your pre-registration tasks.

If you are unable to access/download your Welcome Week timetable, please contact us at usp@sheffield.ac.uk

Join Us for a Pre-induction Q&A

Before the start of your course we have arranged an optional pre-registration Q&A session with Academic and Professional Services staff. This will give you a chance to ask any questions you have about registration, module choice or what to expect from your programme. It will be held online via our virtual learning platform, Blackboard Collaborate.

Monday 16th September 10-11am UK time

Join the Q&A

The Q&A Facilitators will guide you through how to ask questions during the meetings, but if you would like to learn more about joining a session, please click here.

These sessions are for those of you that have questions you would like to ask. They’re entirely optional, so feel free to attend if you think it will be helpful.

Optional Module Choice

Information about our modules and your module choices can be found on your Level 1 Hub on Blackboard. Within your Hub you will find lots of School and University information that you will need to begin and continue your studies in Sheffield.

Information on your module choices is available via the ‘Add/Drop and Module Choice’ tab.  Here you will find our Module Handbook, which will tell you about the modules that are available on your degree programme. There is also a folder of Module Outlines, which will tell you more about the content of each module and how you will be assessed. Please do take the time to read these so that you are able to make an informed decision.

If you are overwhelmed with choice, please don’t worry - You will receive detailed Course Briefings and a chance to meet your Module Leaders during Welcome Week. Furthermore, you can add and drop your optional modules up until the end of Teaching Week 2, so you have plenty of time to change your mind!

Course Timetable

We understand that many of you are keen to know when and where you need to be for your lectures and seminars once the teaching year starts. Your online timetable will become available from Monday 9th September.

Please be aware that your online timetable is a ‘live’ application, and therefore locations and modules may not immediately be available while your registration is being processed and the timetable is being finalised.

We request that you are patient, and that should your timetable continue to be missing information, to contact us during Welcome Week to rectify it.

We will explain all about how your timetable works during Welcome Week, so don’t worry if you are not sure about how it works.

You can access your timetable online via MUSE, the iSheffield app or via Blackboard.
