The University of Sheffield is a great choice for studying, with its lovely nature and professional environment. You can broaden your horizons and meet a better you. Studying here has encouraged me to work in a different, more productive way. Before my lectures or seminars, I do some reading in advance which allows me to acquire knowledge more easily and effectively in classes. In addition, it’s essential to communicate with your tutors. I often ask them questions after my classes to gain more understanding of the different topics.

The University has some fantastic services. I have used the Careers Service support a lot to get useful suggestions for my CV and cover letters. I’ve also taken part in a simulated interview assessment which helped me get familiar with the UK graduate recruitment process. I also booked onto a writing advisory service for my first assignment. The tutor was approachable and helped me to correct grammar mistakes and gave me valuable suggestions to improve my writing. I really appreciate the help on offer.

Sheffield itself has the most wonderful environment which was one of my biggest reasons for choosing to study here. It is is one of the greenest cities in the UK with lots of parks where you get to see so many squirrels playing! I also recommend visiting the nearby fabulous Peak District and Chatsworth House. You will definitely fall in love with the sights as I have. There is also a farm I like called Mayfield Alpacas Animal Park where you can get close to different animals, such as meerkats, armadillos, alpacas and racoons. I really enjoy this part of living and studying in Sheffield.
