There are various external funding bodies which can help you to cover tuition fees and living costs as an international student.
British Chevening Scholarships
These prestigious awards, for overseas students wishing to study in the UK, are funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and administered by the British Council.
The British Council provide detailed information about sources of funding for international students.
Some international organisations such as UNESCO and WHO operate scholarship schemes, usually for developing countries. Details are available from the agencies or the Ministry of Education within each country.
Voluntary organisations, such as religious bodies and charities, sometimes award scholarships, though they can be limited in size and scope. Local newspapers and local British Council offices may also hold details of these schemes as they become available.
