Medical School Annual Research Meeting Abstracts
The call for abstracts for the 2019 meeting is now OPEN
The call for abstracts is open to all investigators and researchers in the early stages of their career, including all Postdoctoral Researchers, Clinical Fellows, Research Assistants, Postgraduate and BMedSci Students in the Medical School and local Trusts. All research areas are encouraged from basic science to clinical studies, including translational and commercially funded research.
Abstracts are reviewed by the Medical School Departmental Executive Committees as well as the Research Meeting Working Group. 16 abstracts will be selected for oral presentation, and remaining abstracts are usually invited as poster presentations and summarised in the abstract book.
During the meeting, oral and poster presentations are judged by both an external and an internal judge. Monetary prizes are usually awarded for the best oral and poster presentations.
Please submit your abstract to the email@example.com Late submissions will not be accepted. You will find further instructions detailed on the form. Most importantly:
- Abstracts must not exceed 300 words
- All sections of the abstract form must be fully completed
- Only one abstract must be submitted per first author
- All list co-authors should review and authorise the abstract prior to submission
For inclusion in the abstract book, abstracts should be subdivided into the following sections:
- Rationale and hypothesis
To preserve confidentiality, all participants will agree to non-disclosure of research not in the public domain.
