Introducing our Public Health Poster Competition

We are excited to announce our first Medicine, Dentistry and Health Public Health Poster Competition, which we hope will interest both GCSE and 16-18 Science and Health students and provide teachers with a classroom or homework activity.

Design a poster to address a public health issue and encourage people to live healthier lifestyles.

Students should should think about

  • what public health issue they want to address
  • what steps people should take to improve health outcomes in their community
  • how they will encourage people to get involved

Entries should be submitted as an email attachment to mdh-recmarketing@sheffield.ac.uk with the subject line POSTER COMPETITION. All entrants should include their name, school and category (GCSE or 16-18) in the body of your email. Posters may be created using any medium. Paper designs should be clearly photographed and submitted as above.

The competition is open to all students studying at KS4 and KS5. In each category, one winner will receive a £50 gift voucher, and 10 runners up will be awarded £25 gift vouchers.

All prize winners will be invited to a Healthcare workshop in our Clinical Skills Centre at the Northern General Hospital where they will be awarded their prizes and meet some of our current Medicine, Dentistry and Health students.

The deadline for submission is 30 April 2023.
