Academic research can be enormously fulfilling and a rewarding intellectual challenge, but we also know that it can be difficult, stressful and isolating - often it can be all these things at the same time.

The Researcher Development Team runs a year-round researcher wellbeing programme, ResearchWell, which includes  workshops, seminars and social activities, to promote and support the wellbeing of our researchers. This culminates in our annual Researcher Wellbeing Week, a dedicated festival of researcher wellbeing, held every summer. Researcher Wellbeing Week deals with the key wellbeing issues raised by our researchers, and works to effect real change within the university environment - as well as encouraging broader, sector-wide conversations about researcher wellbeing.

If you are a postgraduate researcher or member of staff, you can view and book on to our current programme of seminars, workshops and other wellbeing activities on the staff site.
