Funding

Workforce Developmend Funding

Workforce development funding (WDF)  is available to applicants for our courses/modules who are NHS staff in East Midlands and Yorkshire and Humber through their contracts with the University of Sheffield.

Find out more about the WDF scheme here.

To obtain the funding you must complete a fees and funding form which must be signed by your line manager and Learning Beyond Registration (LBR) lead.

Download fees and funding form (Word, 47.2KB)

list of LBR leads can be found on the LBR pages; if you don’t have an LBR lead your manager’s signature will suffice. The University also needs to sign off on the funding before it is granted so please get the signed form back to us as soon as possible.

The funding is granted on a modular basis and needs to be applied for in your academic year of study (so if you are studying with us over multiple years you will need to apply for funding at the start of each year). The funding is available from April and is awarded on a first-come-first-served basis, so to avoid disappointment you should apply as soon as possible.

The funding application and the course application are separate, so being accepted for the course does not guarantee funding.

Confirmation is sent by email once the University has the form.

Not all of our modules are eligible for East Midlands funding.

See a full list of modules available for LBR funding.

Once you become a registered student, any changes should be sent to the CPD administrator: population-health-cpd@sheffield.ac.uk.
