The University of Sheffield's Wellcome Doctoral Training Centre in Public Health Economics and Decision Science now taking applications for its 2021 intake

Based in ScHARR, our Wellcome DTC now provides seven fully-funded PhD studentships each year.

This four-year PhD programme provides a unique cohort-based experience focused on tackling the most pressing challenges within public health.

We welcome applications from students from a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds, including: mathematics, statistics, economics, public health, psychology, sociology, social policy, health economics, international development, engineering, business studies, politics, medicine, physics and human geography.

Applications are open to UK and Irish students, plus two fully-funded international places are available for students from low and middle income countries (see here for the country list).

At least one UK/Ireland studentship will be awarded to a student from a disadvantaged or under-represented group (see here for more details) Applications for 2021 entry close on 14th December 2020.
