I graduated with a BSc(Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Hull and an MSc in Statistics from the University of Sheffield. For my PhD I worked on an EPSRC CASE funded project with AstraZeneca investigating methods of classification for high content screening data. I joined ScHARR in January 2009.

Research Interests

  • Application of statistics in medical research
  • Analysis of routinely collected data
  • Multivariate data analysis

Teaching Interests

My teaching activities include:

  • Design, Trials and Statistics Section Director for Learning and Teaching
  • Deputy module coordinator for MAS6061: Epidemiology
  • Deputy module coordinator for HAR6045 and HAR6061: Further Statics for Health Science Researchers
