Amy Woolley - Placements, Employability and External Relationships Manager

Amy Woolley leads on the module Professional Skills Development, ensuring that students are gaining the appropriate skills and knowledge to obtain graduate employment and succeed in their careers.

Amy is the main point of contact for employers and alumni, in order to support curriculum delivery and to share career insights with students. Amy also ensures that students and the department are kept up to date with the latest industry developments.

As well as coordinating the employer liaison board, Amy organises the placement provision for the department and works with our external partners to ensure that students have access to placements throughout the sector.


Dr Berna Keskin - Lecturer and Employability Academic Lead

Dr Berna Keskin plays a leading role in designing and integrating professional skills development into undergraduate and postgraduate curricula.


Eleanor Murphy - Placement, Employability and External Relations (PEER) Officer

Eleanor supports Amy with the Professional Skills Development module at all levels of study, including optional practical workshops around placements, CVs, covering letters, interviews and assessment centres.

As well as organising departmental careers events, Eleanor supports students to secure work experience opportunities, including supporting students away from the University on a placement year.

Jemma Planche - Placement, Employability and External Relations (PEER) Assistant 

Jemma creates and distributes a weekly Employability Newsletter sent to all students in the department, highlighting new employability resources, placement/work experience opportunities, job opportunities and events across the department and University.

International Merit Scholarships

We offer a generous package of financial support for international students including 75 undergraduate scholarships worth £10,000 towards the annual tuition fee and 125 postgraduate taught scholarships worth £5,000 towards the tuition fee. Applications are now open for existing offer holders.
