Amy came into the newly developed post of PEER Manager in September 2016, joining USP from Chesterfield College, where she led the Careers, Advice and Guidance Service. As PEER Manager, Amy supports three key areas:-
Student Placements – Carrying out placement briefings, helping students find placements, preparing for placement and evaluating this experience, ensuring that all USP students are enhancing their employability for a competitive graduate job market.
Employability - Supporting the Careers and Employability Tutor (Dr Sarah Payne) as well as the University Careers team with the delivery of the employability sessions. Amy helps arrange career fairs and employers talks to enhance students’ knowledge of recruitment processes and job opportunities.
External Relations - Networking with employers and industry relevant bodies, and providing opportunities for our Alumni to continue their relationships with and through USP. Amy helps to manage the USP Liaison Board and Alumni events and activities.
Amy is part-time, and her standard working pattern (which is flexible according to business need) is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9am-5pm. Amy is based in the USP Departmental Office.
