What is the application procedure?
If you wish to be put forward for a place at one of your academic department's Erasmus+ partner universities, please register an interest with your departmental Erasmus+ Tutor.
Each departmental Erasmus+ Tutor has his/her own selection procedure to decide who can go where, if at all.
Do I have to apply to my host university?
Once your departmental Erasmus+ Tutor has nominated you for a place, it is likely that your host university will be in touch to inform you about their application procedures and deadlines.
The application procedures can vary from one university to another. It is important to check the web pages of your host university to make sure you understand the application process and that you don't miss any important deadlines.
If you don't hear from your host university, don't assume that you don't have to do anything. If you are worried, get in touch with their International Relations Office as soon as possible.
What about work placements?
Work placements should be negotiated and arranged between you, the placement provider and your academic department.
You may also find that the Careers Service can offer you some help and advice:
Please remember that work placements must be recognised by your academic department as counting towards your degree in order to be eligible for Erasmus+ funding, with the exception of recent graduates.
When are the deadlines?
Your academic department must inform the Taught Programmes Office of your Erasmus+ period abroad by early April (semester one and full-year placements) or early November (semester two placements).
