Faculty Impact Manager

Stuart obtained his PhD in Polymer science at the University of Sheffield before carrying out postdoctoral academic research projects in the UK and Germany. Stuart has since worked in the healthcare, chemicals and packaging industries in product development and R&D roles. Having been involved in all stages of university and industrial R&D, Stuart connects companies with academic staff at the University of Sheffield to develop projects to impactful outcomes.

Joe GauntDr Joe Gaunt

Polymer Centre Manager

Since completing his chemistry PhD at the University of Sheffield Joe has carried out postdoctoral academic research, worked in industry, sales and marketing and helped set up a technology based start-up. He is now the Manager of the Polymer Centre, helping to connect industrialists with academics to create mutually beneficial collaborations.

Meg LewisDr Megan Lewis

P3 Business Development Manager

Meg completed her PhD in molecular biochemistry at the University of Sheffield, followed by a year in BIS on the Higher Education team. She then managed research and development for a SME, developing technologies for in-vitro cell culture. Meg is an Associate Director in the Institute for Sustainable Food, with responsibility for developing and delivering the Institute's Partnerships and Impact Strategy.

Jes assists with knowledge exchange activities and events, working to support academics from across the faculty to bring their research out of academia and into the public consciousness for real world impact. Finding industrial partners for the ACCE DTP scheme and other applied research in the Plant Sciences makes up much of this role, but you can also contact Jes with enquiries specific to Psychology research.
