Launched by Paul, Mary and Stella McCartney in 2009, Meat Free Monday is a not-for-profit campaign which aims to raise awareness of the detrimental environmental impact of animal agriculture and industrial fishing. The campaign encourages people to help slow climate change, conserve precious natural resources and improve their health by having at least one plant-based day each week.

The Vegan Society is a registered educational charity, founded in 1944. It seeks to make veganism more accessible, providing information and guidance to support individuals, policy and decision makers, caterers, manufacturers, health care professionals and the media.

With origins in the nineteenth century, the Vegetarian Society exists to educate the public about vegetarianism and to promote the vegetarian diet. Its mission is to inspire, educate and enable people to be vegetarian
