Description

The Modern International History Group (MIHG), a forum led by postgraduates in the University of Sheffield's History Department, is delighted to announce its first research seminar of the new academic year. Dr Samira Saramo, from the Migration Institute of Finland in Turku, will be joining us online to present her paper 'Fires, Accidents, and Finnish Socialists in Early 20th Century Canada'.

The paper will be followed by a Q+A session. See below for an abstract of the paper and more information about the speaker.

All are welcome, and we hope to see as many of you there as possible to welcome Samira as she tunes in from Finland! For more information, please email Eva at esurawystepney1@sheffield.ac.uk or Rory at r.hanna@sheffield.ac.uk.
