Why did you choose to study at Sheffield?

The wide range of modules available was one of the main reasons I chose to apply for Sheffield, and after visiting on an open day found it to be the most accepting and inviting environment.

Has your experience so far been what you expected?

I have loved my experience at Sheffield so far, both the university and the city itself have been great. I settled in really well and am loving my course.

What do you particularly enjoy about your degree programme?

I am very interested in social history, particularly the topics of gender, sexuality and race, and this course has given me ample opportunity to study my areas of interest in multiple modules I have taken.

What modules are you studying this year? Are there any modules that you have particularly enjoyed during your degree so far and why?

So far my favourite modules this year have been the Transformation of the UK 1800-present and the Disenchantment of Early Modern Europe. I have found these modules to be the most engaging and have particularly enjoyed my seminars.

What do you like about the University/living in Sheffield?

Living in Sheffield has so many benefits such as its affordability and green spaces, but my favourite is how lovely the people are. I always feel safe both on campus and in the city.

Would you recommend studying at Sheffield to a friend?

I would always recommend studying at Sheffield, I've loved my time here so far and can't wait to continue my studies.
