Profile

I began my PhD program in February 2022 at the University of Sheffield. I graduated from the University of Leicester in 2021, and from Indiana University in 2020, where I was also a student journalist and studied abroad at the University of Kent in 2018. My research interests include conflict and war journalism, war history, sociology, culture, media studies, literary studies, art history, music history, race & ethnicity studies, gender & sexuality studies, and human rights.

My thesis research explores journalism during the Vietnam War from 1964 to 1974. In particular, this concerns specific journalists' attitudes, and how those reflected representation and national image when covering war effort, support and opposition.

During my leisure time, I enjoy visiting museums and galleries, writing, creating art, taking trips to the cinema, travelling, visiting archives, attending concerts, reading, eating Mexican cuisine, and watching The X-Files.

Please contact me via email if you would like to discuss research, journalism, or any of the provided topics.
