Antenna spherical measurement system and software

The NSI-MI Technologies measurement system is ideal for measuring millimetre wave antennas packaged on chip from 10GHz to 110GHz. The NSI 2000 software allows for radiated results to be processed and exported in a range of options.

The NSI-MI Technologies system is a spherical measurement system with a fixed antenna under test. The system incorporates RF converter modules from VDI as part of the probe carriage assembly. The measurement robot maintains a probe tip radius of roughly 20″ (500 mm) to the antenna under test.

The VDI mm-Wave modules are exchanged to cover the relevant frequency bands. This leaves the rack and cabling portion of the RF sub-system intact, making for a very modular and upgradable test system.

All positioners contain integrated RF rotary joints to maximise cable phase stability during testing and the Phi-axis positioner also contains a slip-ring assembly. The system is designed by NSI-MI Technologies and fully integrates into their software providing results in a number of different ways.
