Profile

I graduated from the University of York in 2017 with a BSc. Hons. Psychology. I then completed the Teach First graduate scheme where I trained as an Early Years specialist teacher in Birmingham. I taught children aged 4-5 years for four years in Birmingham and Bristol and alongside this completed an MA. in Leadership in Education. My research focus was math-gender stereotypes and math self-concepts among primary-aged children and their parents and teachers.

I started my PhD at ScHARR in September 2021 where I am researching measures of children’s health and how children’s health can be valued through preference-based measures

Qualifications
  • BSc. Hons. Psychology. University of York
  • PGDE Education with qualified teacher status. Birmingham City University
  • MA. Leadership in Education. Birmingham City University
Research interests

Measuring and valuing children’s health using preference-based measures. I am particularly interested in how preference-based measures could be applied to younger children (3-5 years) and to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
