Professor Wendy Baird, Faculty Director of Research and Innovation conveyed how the Early Career Prize Committee were most impressed by the amount of time and effort that David dedicates to communicating his research, in particular his interviews with BBC Radio 4’s Today programme and the development and marketing of his app that focuses on nystagmus. David devotes much of his spare time in organising and participating in outreach events in order to promote his passion for research to a wider audience.
